All you need is:
First you have to download the little programm called Playstation Remote Play and install it. After you have done that and opened the program, something like this should greet you:
If you see that window, click on settings under the START button. And a window with a few options should open:
There are essentially only two options you have to tinker around with, but we will be going over all of them.

For our scenario, which is recording with the PC/Mac instead of the Playstation itself, we will choose the best resolution you can select and the framerate "high".
When you are finished with the settings , just close the window and connect your Dualshock 4 controller. You can do that by pluging it in via a micro-usb cable, which is the preferable way, because it has the lowes input lag and charges your controller at the same time.
But you can also connect it via the "Dualshock 4 USB-Wireless-Adapter" which essentially is just a bluetooth dongle. So if you already have a bluetooth card (like most of the Macs) you can pair it with that.
After your PC/Mac has recognized the controller the windows should look like this:
You now can press the "START" button on the bottom or press the "OPTIONS" button on your Dualshock 4 controller.
And now it should connect to your PS4!
If you have done everything correctly, you will see your Playstation interface now. From this point on you can record that screen with your capture software of choice.
