I hear you as I have gone through the same thing just about an year ago. I got married recently and before that there was a strenuous search for my Bride on Matrimonial Websites and even though I did find some potential suits something didn't feel right as being online is way different than meeting someone and getting to know them and then move forward towards marriage.

And yes fake profiles were an issue as well.
