We all mostly know that having high Cholesterol levels are bad for our health but that is slightly incorrect as there are two types of Cholesterol in our body, Bad Cholesterol that harms our body and there is some good cholesterol as well which helps in day to day functioning of our bodies. So today I will be talking about some foods which you can incorporate in your day-to-day life to increase your Good Cholesterol Levels in your Body.
CHIA SEEDS
Chia Seeds are a very good source of plant-based Omega 3 Fatty Acids and other nutrients so adding Chia Seeds to your Diet may help you to decrease your Blood Pressure as well as increase your good cholesterol. In my case, I eat Chia Seeds just by putting a tiny amount on any food I am eating. Yes, some might say that it is not the most effective way to eat Chia Seeds but I like them this way and this also lets me add some flavor to the Bland Chia Seeds as well.
COCONUT OIL
Coconut Oil is an exceptional source of Cholesterol both Good and Bad but usually, we cook our food with Mustard Oil or Rice Bran Oil which definitely adds more Bad Cholesterol in our Body so you may say that choosing Coconut Oil over other choices will be like choosing the lesser evil among all Evils so yeah try to incorporate Coconut Oil in your Cooking.
WALNUTS
Walnuts are something that almost everyone knows is good for your health as it contains Omega 3 Fats which as I said before are among the Good cholesterol which also help to protect your Heart. It also actively helps in lowering your overall Blood Cholesterol Levels so this is a must-have in your Diet to fight cholesterol. But sadly I just don't feel like eating Walnuts and this is something that I sadly don't have in my Diet.
SOYBEAN
Now this one was a surprise for me as I love eating Soybeans but I never knew it was good for Cholesterol. It seems Soybean contains bursts of unsaturated fats, fiber, and protein. It also contains isoflavones which actively help in improving your Lipid Profile.
These are some foods that can Passively help you reduce your cholesterol Levels and I have 3 of them in my Regular Diet. I also check my Lipid Profile on a quarterly basis to check how my Cholesterol Levels are performing and I will say that it is definitely lowering with time.
