Look Mum I can Fly!

I took this picture out of the window of a small plane that my son was flying!

For his 18th birthday we bought him a flying lesson that included taking off from Shoreham Airport and landing in the Isle of Wight and then doing the same in reverse.

There was only room for one passenger and I got the spot because John had already had a similar experience when I bought him a lesson for one of his big birthdays.

I was actually pretty nervous but was able to enjoy myself by concentrating on the scenery and not allowing myself to think about anything else. It was a beautifully clear day and an experience I will never forget.

My son absolutely loved it and made a really good job of it. He reckons all the hours he spent taking off and landing planes in computer games was a big help!
