Dare To Be You On Steemit

How much of yourself do you allow to shine through on Steemit?

Like any other social media, if you want to, you can hide here and only express those parts of yourself that you think will be accepted. But what's the point in that? Isn't it better to resist rejection in the knowledge that by being yourself you will eventually find those who resonate with you?

This "quote to live by" is a call to those of you who are holding yourselves back, to express more of yourself, not just on Steemit but in life in general.

When I first came here I was determined to write what I wanted to write and comment as I wanted to comment and I was doing really well, until yesterday.

Then, after a challenging comment on one of my posts, I lost confidence and have found myself censoring what I write today.

Sometimes it's OK to take a step back, retreat and regroup and that's what I've been doing, but now I'm ready to step up again and "Dare To Be Me". Who will join me?
