Salt Mine Chandelier

This is a photograph through the bottom of a chandelier carved entirely from salt. It was taken in a salt mine, just outside Krakow, Poland that has a number of chapels carved from the salt containing reliefs, benches, alters etc.

The miners were underground for weeks at a time and so created these places to worship.
