Interesting Tea Companion

This black bird came to join us for tea at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne. Fortunately we'd finished by the time it arrived.

It is not a blackbird (obviously). It's way too big. But rather a bird that is black. It looked even bigger in real life and what a pair of feet it has!

Anyone know it's name?
