Yeah unfortunately that shortage is everywhere here. It depends on the caliber though. You are out of luck if you want 9 or 5.56 which is mostly what I shoot. .45 is hard to come by too but you see it a little more often. If you are looking for something more in line with hunting or some oddball caliber you might have better chances. I still find buckshot no problem, oddly.

Guns are scarce too lately and the price gouging is out of hand. Pre-covid-panic-buying prices had entry level ar's at about $500 and you could get into something pretty nice off the shelf for about a thousand. Now that same questionable budget ar that they could hardly give away is flying off the rack for eight or nine hundred dollars. I bought my Sig P320 M17 for $150 less than they are going for now like two years ago.

I have my little stash of ammo and I'll buy more as it becomes available. For now I'm sitting on what I have and thinking about investing in something chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor because it still seems pretty available and there are some pretty good options in that chambering.
