Here are fruits I molded with clay. Each of them was cut and I scooped out some quantity of clay which now made them lighter than their initial weight.
PROCESS
The pawpaw was dissected into halves and scooped. Thirty pieces of molded dried tiny stony like clay was poured into one half, which represents the pawpaw seeds and when the molded pawpaw is properly dried, try shaking it - you will be hearing some jingling sounds.
I proceded by joining the halves with slip (a wet clay used in repairing cracked clay works).
After the joining, I left it to dry well before I mixed my acrylic colours and painted it.
The same steps was repeated on the other fruits ( Mango, Orange and Banana) but no seeds were added.
My work area, my brushes, acrylic colours, water...the egg crate as my colour palette and my rag.
The pawpaw... I could have gone harder on this but I had to stop here.
Molded and painted orange.. I was trying to mix and paint it exactly from my reference. My reference had an orange fruit with orange colour 😂😂
This is the molded and painted mango fruit ❤️❤️ my favorite of all.
I like the colour mixing here.
The clay base splashed with colours😍
