As I type this I am sat in my favourite bar drinking a beer that has crashed through the barrier of my top-ten(oh I am so fickle).
As much as I’d like to give you a true live stream of this event I am old enough to know that my lack of inhibition is not something I should indulge at this point. I am slightly drunk and therefore only capable of giving you a slurred and garble version of what I am experiencing. So, what I think would be an articulate and sophisticated version of events would, in fact, be a mumbling dribbling mirror image of the here and now. Nonetheless, I have predictive text to disguise my inebriation while I indulge my spontaneous creativity.
So before I get completely side tracked, let me introduce the beauty that has inspired this outburst...
It’s number 3 on the board and, yes, it very expensive. Probably a pound for every 3% of alcohol, but who’s counting? Certainly not me!
Bourbon beer! Now which evil genius decided to put these two devils in the same vessel? For the record, it was the Fierce brewery who made this powerful concoction.
Some would say the high-price is just taking advantage of those who refuse to drink an average lager, but I’d say this price tag serves two purposes. 1st is to reserve its immaculate taste for a seriously appreciative audience. 2nd is to warn off anyone thinking this is a drink to be taken lightly. It’s taste easy disguises its alcoholic content, so being that a pint would cost you almost £15 tends to stop folk loading up and getting off their noggin. So please, don’t be offended by the price, because somethings really are worth a little more and by the way this imperial stout taste, I’d say that a lot of effort has been made brewing it.
And now it is with a warmed belly and a slightly fuzzy head that I bid you farewell. The Mrs has returned home and for my own safety it best I join her and see what the rest of the weekend has in store.
Hope you’ve enjoyed my #beersaturday post as much as I have 🥳🥳
