We are getting old too soon and wise too late

As I told you in a previous post, English is not my mother tongue but I really do my effort to express as better as I can my ideas and my way to see the world in English. Getting old is part of our nature as human beings. However, as we are getting old, one of our primary goals is to learn not only about grammar or mathematic also about life, values and how to be a woman or a man and how we affect each other’s life. Usually, we lose our time waiting for things to happen and doing no effort to see or to take into account all the things that already happened in our past. We are bad learners, I don’t understand why we can not learn about others mistakes? Or why do we need to be 80 years old to learn that we do not have time to waste?

I know, being human is difficult. Benjamin Franklin knew it and he makes us think about it every day. He wrote this quote two hundred years ago but it doesn’t matter who and when that quote was created. Every generation thinks that young people are lazy. I think that we all are genius, as Albert Einstein said “everybody is a genius. But if we judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid”. Time teaches us everything. Time teaches us how to be a successful person. Time teaches us how to love, how to be a better person, how to be a better son, who are your friends, how to be humble, how to forgive and how to forget. Time is everything and I might be the laziest and the worst learner ever but my life is under construction and as I am getting old I am getting wise and as I am getting wise I will keep proving myself that our biggest tragedy is to judge the fish by its ability to climb the tree.
