She was capable of understanding the moral and ethical issues without her emotions tangling them up into a messy knot as happens with our species and she feels we are in the wrong, but that there are extenuating circumstances (a nice description of Cherine?).

At the end of the last telling everybody expected a golden circle of love so Cherine announced, “We’ll have a golden circle of love tomorrow - after all questions have been answered.”

We’ve discussed the equine species fight and we don’t see how telling us what I said steals our free will. Obviously if it happens to us, I’ll have the same reason for saying what I did in his dream. Anyway, he’s already altered the future by telling us about it as Robbie is not likely to attack as he did in the dream, since he already knows he was wrong to - how could it be otherwise, if his opponent really wanted to harm me, why would I risk getting between them? Arthur, we want to know. Sam says, “Why do…” - oh gosh, I’ve forgotten what it was you said - the exact words. It was something along the lines, “Why do you always jump to conclusions without asking us our opinions? He only asked me whether you really intended this fight to be to the death.” His challenge of Robbie was only meant to be symbolic, only a token fight, but he realised Robbie was taking it beyond that.

Our friends are killing themselves with laughter. We used what you said as a pretext to attack Robbie, demanding to know why he doesn’t respect our opinions…etc. I don’t think he knows whether to be angry with you or grateful - he senses how it is amusing us.

If there are no more dreams, I’ll return to Lusalith’s reactions at the end of the telling. I’ll begin by noting that she is the first alien ever (I’m not certain the Sparklers qualify, they’d seen Robbie’s thoughts, but I doubt they understood us that well) who’s shared a telling with her mind open to ours and therefore able to understand a lot more than others have at their first sitting. She did not ask any questions that night, but it felt as if she had a case of hero worship for Robbie. Hmm, if we ‘invite’ her as the Cherinian Empire City, could she expect Robbie to marry her?

“My first thoughts were that much of what you suffered was because of your ignorance at the time. That does not detract from your accomplishments and your courage and your glory will be shared with all my people. I suspect they will all despair of achieving any glory that can compare with yours. It does mean that you will then be disqualified from taking part in any future dream wars. I apologise Robert.”

We’ve never had to exercise such stringent controls on our emoting as we have with her. Not showing amusement in his emoting, Robbie gallantly replied, “It is a fair tradition Lusalith. I understand and no apology is needed.”

“I saw that you have left one evil un-restored, are you waiting for a specific occasion or event?”

We all asked each other, but no one came up with an answer. “Which evil in particular are you referring to Lusalith?”

“The father of Wendy, will you truly allow his soul to remain lost for all time? You are not a god Robert, it should not be so.”

Wendy cried out in our minds, a cry of such dark grief that at last, unbelievably, will be finding an end, that Robbie instantly was by her side and took her into his arms. Although Candy had not understood what Wendy had and also does not have the same sense of guilt as her, Robbie proactively took her in his other arm. “How can I return Lusalith, I was the void, I’ll sense myself interfering?”

“But you arrived in the void moments after he did, that would not give you time?”

“Sam? I sense there might be a window there, can you see it clearly?”

“Well, Aganthi has not dusted it for a long time…maybe. Let me think on it.” Nobody dared hit me with a cushion in case it knocked out the possibility I was considering, so I got away with my joke this time. I took a walk on my own and when I arrived at the rock Robbie likes to sit and think on, I sat on it, trying to structure exactly how it could be achieved. I called to Robbie and asked him to share his memories from the moment Richard died in Athens to his first attack in the void. I was amazed, there was almost a minute free for us before he became the void. He’d been so intent on damaging the body that he’d delayed leaving, even though he’d sensed the soul departing.

I saw it as a three stage operation. I decided it is necessary that both Robbie and Vincent do it with Solomon in the second part to help. They will have to arrive a bit earlier so that Vincent can become the void. As soon as Richard’s soul arrives, Vincent has to wrap it in energies and hand it over to Robbie, staying in the void so as to delay Robert/Vincent of that time for a couple of seconds. Robbie must jump to a void without Sparklers so that ‘our time’ Sparklers can be there to feed the soul so that they can split it. Solomon and the Sparklers will keep the main part while Robbie returns the smaller part to our own void. Done correctly it will also reduce the awareness of the Richard part to be destroyed. Solomon must identify the last decent life it lived and use the eraser to remove the last bad life-lives. They can return to our void with the soul and help it return to be reborn without too much trauma, in the hope it will not be another damaged human being.

Everyone shared with me and they spent as long as each of them needed to be convinced the plan can work. The first problem cropped up unexpectedly. Wendy demanded she go with. Robbie could not fight her, so I privately shared with Cherine that it could be a disaster if she does go. Cherine insisted it is better I speak up. I’d rather everyone threw pillows filled with rocks at me, but I girded myself for the emoting of Wendy and spoke, telling her that I do not want her to go to the original void, she can only be present at the void where his soul will be split. She was hurt, then angry and then she agreed and cried.

Within less than an hour we acted upon the suggestion of Lusalith. I suggested that Lusalith goes to the second void within Kirsten so that she can see and experience for herself that Richard is no longer a lost soul. Actually, it is a sad irony of fate and physics, Richard has been saved and has been reborn and has been living his new life all these years, while Robbie kept the darkness of his deed within his soul until now. I asked Solomon to note when, name of family and so on for us to check on how the child has grown up.

They have returned and it has been a huge success. The changes in Wendy and Robbie made us all weep and then we showered Lusalith and all the DD in Freddie with our love and gratitude. Cherine had spoken to Maria so that she’d have time to prepare and we are having a party to celebrate. Today is not only a wonderful day for us as a family (even Alki cried inside himself) but is an important day for all Cherinians. A blot from our history has been healed.

Last night’s party was the first one for years that all us girls went as children, nobody over eight years old. Robbie needed it and his needing it made it sweet for us and he has a bunch of grinning wives this morning.

Lusalith told us this was the first party she’d ever been to in person, usually satisfying herself by watching through others. Candy asked her if DD families ever have parties for their children. She agreed they do. That upset Candy, she thought it was nasty of them not to invite Lusalith. We do understand why they don’t; how could they ‘believe’ in her enough to make her a god if they saw her playing just like any other child. Just like everyone, Cherinians and Normals, become upset when Robbie plays the fool. At least Robbie does not need them to ‘believe’ for him to be the protector - oh, I just realised, it is necessary that Robbie himself ‘believes’. Gosh, if I was an enemy I’d look for talents who can make him stop believing.

As you probably guessed as soon as you read the above, this is Robert. Samantha read what she’d written and bawling like a baby she immediately deleted. I brought it back after holding her until she could listen to me and then explained that I was glad she had thought of it, that she had, as always, found another way to protect me. What I’ve had to do has shaken up all my loves and friends, even all our alien friends. For the first time ever, I’ve given Vincent and Cherine a permanent power over me. Either, or, and both of them together can use their ‘influence’ over me. Both Cherine and Vincent and Samantha are troubled by what I’ve done and have gone off in privacy to discuss it. I asked they take Dommi with as she will keep their feet on the ground, but they refused. They returned with their decisions locked away from everyone. They know we could sneak past their defences, but we have no intention of doing so - we must always observe the spirit of our rules, not just the words.

I’m back. Arthur, it is necessary for someone to think of all the angles, but why is it that whenever I find one that is a potential threat I feel devastated and guilty instead of rejoicing? I don’t need you to answer, I’m just asking questions so that someday I am able to understand myself. Thanks to what we understood about Lusalith, we’ve decided not to invite the other DD’s to come to Earth with us - unless they visit others. We want to have parties, take her to the Rodeo for her to play as one of us and so on.

Richard is now called Perry (no surname, he has made a fresh start and is owed anonymity). Up to now, this is some of his background. He married when he was twenty two, had a baby girl, fell in love with a man called Max and deserted his family. Max has had a great time spending all of the money Perry had saved for doing business and they are both broke now. Wendy giggled when Robbie told her that he is gay. Robbie has decided he wants to meet Perry and will go to a certain bar just before Perry usually goes there. Robbie changed his appearance and called himself Richard Dright.

Perry and Max took the table next to Robbie. He’d used his gifts to ensure nobody else would take it and gently prompted them to sit there. Since everyone on Earth has had healers heal them at least two or three times, both looked healthy. Max is a bigger man and has a magnetism that is natural to him, while Perry looks more sensitive and speaks softly. Robbie leaned over with a smile.

“Good evening, I’m Richard, could the two of you do with some company? You’d be saving a soul from introspection - which is fatal after a few drinks.”

“I’m Perry and my friend is Max. Certainly, bring your drink over.”

Unfortunately Max has to be the life of the party, so Robbie found himself talking mostly with him. He asked Robbie whether he is a gambling man so Robbie knew which buttons to push. He shook his head in sorrow. “If I put my bet on red, black comes. If I put it on both, zero comes. Lady Luck wears a permanent frown around me. Does she favour you?”

“I have my moments.” Perry frowned but kept quiet.

“Would you be willing to test a theory of mine?” He pulled out of his pocket a wad of notes and counted out five hundred Euros. “I believe the Lady can be bluffed.” He placed the notes before Max. “Would you play for me? If you lose, my loss and no hard feelings. If you win, we share the winnings. I’d love to say that I beat her at her game at least once.” After some reassurances, Max was out of there with the money like a shot. Robbie gave Perry a smile. “I know I’ll lose, but I can afford it just this once, so don’t worry about it.”

He nodded. “Max usually loses so you can forget about your money.”

“As I said, no problem. Perry, not a name one hears often now. I’ve only known of one other Perry - not that I’ve met him, I’ve only heard about him, but I am told he is dead.” Robbie gave a sardonic grin. “It’s a wonder anyone manages to die nowadays with the Cherinians around. Just because they’ll live forever they get jealous of us and if they hear someone is dying they rush to bring him back to life.”

Perry looked surprised. “You don’t like the Cherinians?”

7354

“Like? I absolutely adore them, I’m just green with envy. Unfortunately it seems they resemble the Christians and a man who makes good money has no chance of being given eternal life. What was it Jesus said, something about a camel passing through the eye of a needle? I wonder if the Cherinians have evolved a saying as inane as that one.”

“I doubt you are right, some of the wealthiest people are Cherinians. If you think that is the problem, why don’t you try the Ipohin?”

Robbie shrugged. “To join them you have to have some super-dooper talent. My only talent is for making money. No reason to sweat it though, I’ve worked out how to become a Cherinian. I’ll look for a very poor family with kids and sort of adopt them, become a very loving uncle that sees to their welfare. Lots of presents for birthdays and Christmas and I’ll always make time to listen to them. I’ll make certain they are good loving souls so that they are linked and, once they are, how can they refuse to link sweet uncle Richard? Of course, I could always short-circuit the entire process if I can just find a poor family with a really beautiful daughter under ten years old. Once she loves me I’ll make her see how important it is she loves that Robert Teller guy and then, when they are close by I’ll cut an onion under her eyes. I hear he’s a real sucker for pretty little girls who are crying. Bang,” he snapped his fingers, “she’ll ensnare him and I’ve got it made without waiting another ten years.”

Finally Perry woke up. “You’re laughing at yourself.”

“Us mortals have to be good at that or life becomes unbearable.”

By now we had roped in Alki and family and a few others, including his father, and they were sharing with us, laughing just as much as we were.

Robbie grinned. “Perry, you wouldn’t happen to have a little girl I can adopt?”

“I don’t think she’d fall for your charm. She’s also too old for your purposes.”

“She can’t be an adult, you’re too young. Lord, don’t tell me, she’s one of those terrible creatures - she’s a teenager!”

“Afraid so, about fifteen.”

“Is she a Daddy’s girl?”

“She was, I haven’t seen her for years.” He raised a hand, “Change the subject please.”

“I have a better idea, why don’t we walk over to Barruchi’s for a meal and a good bottle of wine? My treat.” It has been some time since Perry could afford to eat there, so he was happy to agree. They were given a table and they ordered.

“Perry, what line of business are you in?”

“I’m sort of between, my last venture was not successful.”

“Max was a partner? Oh well, that’s life. What are you good at doing? What kind of business would you like to be in?”

Alki groaned, as did we. He’s chosen himself another pet rat - though this one is considerably nicer. We felt Wendy and suddenly we were rooting for Robbie. Robbie sensed us and sent us a grin.

“If I had the money, I think I’d like to run a guest house. I’m a good cook and I enjoy looking after people.”

“I don’t think you’d be any good at it. I sense you are a soft touch and soon half your guests would really be guests, staying at your expense. Choose something safer for you.” Robbie raised his hand. “Hold it, I have a lady friend who would be a good partner in such a venture and she’d keep the books and make certain your guests pay or else they’d be out on their bums. What do you say, could you work with someone like that? It would be her decision, she says a guest is out, they’re out, without arguments from you.”

7355

“You’re joking!”

“I’m not. Perry, Max will not be allowed near the cash box. If you want to give him your profits after tax, that is your problem, but he is not a partner and stays out of the running of the business. The lady will have very strict instructions from me - oh, I forgot to mention, I’ll be a one third partner but I’ll have majority voting rights.”

When they parted, Perry was floating on pink candy clouds. Robbie came in for some ribbing, but we had to give up because Wendy and Candy threw themselves onto his lap and hugged him so tightly in their love that he could hardly breathe.

Alki found an agent and a very nice guest house was purchased. The lady partner is Hilda, mother of Valerie and Erica. It was agreed that she will not keep it a secret that she is a Cherinian, but will not divulge who Richard is. Robbie decided he should let Perry know that he is a Cherinian once the deal is signed. Robbie promised her she can return to Freddie whenever she wishes, and may visit by jumping whenever Freddie is in this reality. Whenever she is tired of running the guest house, Robbie has agreed to buy her share so that she can move back to Freddie to be with her daughters and Hilmar.

Perry was introduced to Hilda and they drove to the guest house. They each chose their quarters, Max for once keeping quiet. Just before leaving, Robbie asked Perry to join him for a walk alone in the garden.

“Perry, I have not played it straight with you. I am a Cherinian.”

“I sort of wondered. Hilda also?”

“Yes. I want to say to you something that I’ll only say once, it will remain your choice and I will not speak of it again. Perry, Elaine is a lovely girl. She has been told you died, but she suspects it is not true and it hurts her that her father does not care for her. Speak to her before it is too late. Perry, I’ll confide something else to you, but I will not accept any questions, I’ll say what I have to say and then I’ll refuse to speak of it again. I knew you in your previous life. You also had a daughter in that life and your inability to love her destroyed her. Don’t make the same mistake again.”

“What…”

“That’s it Perry, I will not speak of either daughters again, you make up your own mind.”

Now that that is over, I’ll return to our arrival here.

Lusalith was given the body of a Terran girl of about nine years old. We could not make her older as her ignorance of our world and ways could have been inexcusable, whereas smaller children are forgiven much.

We’ve lost the fight Arthur - even among some of the alien species. The Church of Arthur is now the third largest religion on our Earth, but counting inter-species, it is by far the largest. Claudia of course pointed out that it is only true for the realities we know, since in countless other realities the older religions cumulatively total a larger number of devotees. All known Earths have agreed to send only one representative and they are here to speak to you. The other species have also asked for a representative to speak to you, even Lusalith. They are all waiting in Freddie to speak to their God and offer their undying devotion on behalf of their people. May we start?

Coward! After what you did I think you owe it to them, you must speak to them. I have managed to convince them that because you are lazy you don’t want to speak to so many, so, the Terrans of all realities have appointed Goldi as their representative and the other species appointed isi-mi. Surely you can’t refuse the two you love so much?

Arthur, you must respond. Goldi has been appointed head of The Church of Arthur for all Terrans and isi-mi of the church for all other species. If you refuse to talk to them you’ll embarrass them terribly and who knows who else will be appointed in their place.

Arthur, when you act like a god, then you have to accept that you are one. How can you bear to think of our two loves feeling so miserable? Give them an uplifting message to pass on. They know I love them. You are not right to assert that I acted as a god; all I did is do what a loving father would. Sam, I have a nice solution. Tell everyone I’ve appointed prime Allan as my representative for talking to their representatives on my behalf. This is Allan - don’t you dare even try to do that you shit! Fine, then all I’m left with is going back from book one to here and delete all references to me and chats. Arthur will soon no longer exist. Sam, try to keep in your heart the memory that someone really loves you. Bi

Hold it! As the Anadir say, jokes with you never last long enough to truly be enjoyed. Arthur, you’ve been had! God! I haven’t laughed this much for a long time.

7357

After you typed in your assumptions, we spent some time awed and even trembling at the thought of what you’ve done for us and how much it means you love us. The truth is, our reactions are muted because this is too huge for us to feel it as we should. We think we’ll gradually come to understand just how massively you have changed our lives. Then we started wondering how everyone else would react and we realised what would happen – so, we have kept it a secret for now. You do realise that what you threatened, you could not do. It would change too much and we’d still remember and have our other diaries and I’d just type everything back in. You’re not getting away from spending that eternity you promised us with me!

This is Robert. I have waited for everyone to calm down before speaking to you. For years I have wondered why you assumed such strong protector instincts for me when you must have known that the idea that my loves would stop existing someday would be tearing at me. I think that this is the first time ever that I am truly happy in all ways. Thank you.

Dimi came to visit at our home in Athens. After a hug and kiss from all of us, he placed a happy Robyn on his lap as he talked to us. He asked a question that should have been asked long ago.

“Robert, what if a Cherinian commits a crime against a Normal? Surely it would not be right for us to arrogantly sentence and punish that person? To hand him over to the justice system of any government and walk away would not be right either, since they are not capable of punishing him if his talents are not blocked by us.”

“Give me an instance.”

“Well, say a Cherinian is using his powers to cheat Normals.”

“The evidence would have to be collected by Cherinians. The point is, would their courts accept our proof if it is only Cherinian proof - in other words, we used our own gifts to watch him.”

“We could use other methods as well. For instance, we could borrow from the Unation cameras that record what he did.”

“I’m not too knowledgeable about the law, but I would guess the video would only be admissible in court if a judge gave permission for him to be monitored. Another point that then comes up, the criminal, being a Cherinian or Ipohin is likely to commit his crimes in various countries so the filming of his activities in the other countries might not be admissible. We need to ask Hettie to consult our attorneys.”

7358

Dimi frowned, “You’re missing the point Robert. Even if the court rules that the evidence is admissible and they sentence him, what is to stop him laughing at them and walking or jumping away? To say that we will block him is not that simple. We would have to block him before he is tried and found guilty. That could be illegal by their laws, since he could claim we are crippling him.”

Robbie reached across the table and took Dimi’s hand in his. “We’ll check the legalities, but I can sense something is worrying you. Tell me about it.”

“I can’t Robert. If I do, your protector instincts will take over and he’ll be punished by a Cherinian. It would solve the present situation, but would not establish a procedure for the Cherinians and Normals to act together. We must have a ruling that allows us to block a Talent if we have grounds for suspecting guilt. If the person is found innocent, then we must not be subject to penalties.”

I asked, “How could he take us to court for blocking his powers? Would the court be qualified to give a verdict in such a case since even the crime by us can only be hearsay?”

“Speak to Hettie Sam, I don’t know the laws.”

Robbie had lost all interest in the discussion, he was willing for Hettie to make a deal with the Normals, for now he was tensed over the possibility that a child or children are being hurt. He presumed so because of Dimi saying his protector instincts would force him to act.

“Dimi, we’ll use this case to have laws enacted and agreements signed as may be needed, but if we have to let this one be judged by us, then so be it. Is he hurting children?”

“Yes and no. He could claim he is not, but I think his crimes are one of the worst abuses of our gifts I’ve ever seen. If this goes public, the Normals will fear us again.”

“Tell me about it.”

“How does Freddie show tapes on the screens?”

“You have tapes?”

“Yes.”

“Show it on my computer first.”

“I can’t, we need equipment from the Unation.”

“Then we jump to their ship.”

They made a room available and showed on a large screen what Dimi had taped with their cameras.

“I now and then join a team who search for children being abused. About a year ago we sensed a child making love, but there was no distress or fear so we should have ignored them. I was curious because the place it was happening was not in a home. I checked, saw the man, sensed his signature so to speak and left. Months later we passed another child happily making love. I knew it was the same man, but a different child. I checked, but could not see well enough to know for certain, but something seemed to warn me the children were not sisters and he was not the father. I dropped out of the group and watched the man. He returned her to a shopping mall close by and when she happily ran off he went for a drink at a coffee shop. I quickly returned to my body, jumped close to the shop and walked in. There were a number of empty tables, but none next to him. I was blocking myself so that he would not sense I am a Cherinian, so I went to his table directly and sat down.

‘I bet you are a Cherinian.’

He was irritated, but pretended amusement after using his senses to ensure I am a Normal, ‘How do you know?’

I shrugged and put on a knowing air. ‘I can sense you Cherinians.’

‘Then you must be a natural talent. Why don’t you go to the embassy to be checked?’

7359

‘No, I’m not interested. I’m David.’

‘John.’ We shook hands. He tried to convince me to go and be checked and then left. I unblocked myself to sense where he would be jumping to, but was not successful. After that I investigated every case of willing sex, but did not come across him for months. This time he was in Napoli and had chosen for himself a tiny dark-haired beauty. She too was willing and happy, but this time I noticed blood, she had been a virgin. I borrowed the camera and spent every night searching all the cities for his signature. I found him in London. He’d gone there to shop and he jumped home after visiting a private club for a drink.

I waited by the club for a couple of weeks and when he arrived I altered my appearance and entered the club. Not being a member I was not admitted, but I took a peek at the registry where he’d signed in. Within a couple of days a detective had found his home address. He lives in a small town and is fairly wealthy. When Freddie returned from your last trip and a number of Cherinians jumped here, so did he and he seems to be known by a number of Cherinians.

I had to ask Solomon for help. He set Sparklers to watch him and sense where he is jumping to. Here are the scenes from his latest exploit.”

We watched as he walked outside a schoolyard. He identified a child that interested him and followed her as she returned home. There was no one else in her home and the man rang the doorbell. She answered with the chain on, but beamed her excitement at seeing him and opened for him. We watched them having sex and she too had been a virgin.

Dimi did not dare try to enter the mind of the man, but this time he entered and shared with the child. It transpired that he used his powers to convince the girl that he is an uncle she loves and then used his powers again to awaken her to the need for sex with him. Once it was over, he used his healer to repair her so that she is a virgin again, cleansed her of her blood and his semen and wiped the memories from before his arrival and jumped home.

According to Dimi he has done this to eleven girls that he knows of. We were horrified, this was a kind of rape none of us had ever imagined. Robbie ignored us and stared at Dimi sternly.

“You obviously have the right instincts. All the points you brought up will be negotiated Dimi. However, this man has to be dealt with by us, we cannot allow him one more victim. He has to be blocked and taken to the penal planet - he’s yours to deal with. Dimi, Vincent will come with as backup, insurance for just-in-case. He comes with me so it is no reflection in my trust of you.”

Robyn kissed his cheek quickly and got off his lap. He came to his feet looking stern, but emoting his pride and joy that Robbie trusts him. “He’ll be gone the moment I find him. Thank you.” He turned to us, “Bye my loves.”

The United Nations have recommended to all the governments that they enact laws permitting the Cherinians and Ipohin to assist where the criminal is a Talent and the victim is a Normal or a legal entity and to permit them to use whatever means are necessary to block off their powers. We will be obliged to open the blocks if a verdict of not guilty is reached, but if guilty, even at the end of the period of his sentence, we are not obliged to reinstate his powers or link. Laws are also to be enacted that make it illegal to use paranormal mental powers to rape or steal, even if the victim was willing once he or she has been ‘influenced’. Hettie told us that the wording of the laws are taxing some of the best legal brains of the world.

Lusalith spent her first days enjoying the experience of being in a Terran body. In the city she lives in, there are a few thousand living there also, but they are careful not to intrude so she is forced to search the planet for intense emotions and while thus sharing, so that she is not driven insane by her loneliness, she is also in place to experience directly the problems of her people and she’ll then do what she can to correct them. Being suddenly among us, just our family, is a shock. Going out to places like Kefalari with the crowds sitting at coffee shops has a strong effect on her. The first few times we’d leave within the first minute, then within five minutes, lengthening our stay as she learnt how to control all she senses.

“I do not understand why your world did not develop a god. You are desperately in need of one.”

7360

“Well, it has tried to a few times,” Cassie explained in apparent earnestness, “but each time the gods gave up and disappeared. First of all, however powerful a god is, our people are only capable of believing in them for a short time. As soon as somebody announces a new god, they forget about the old one. Look at what wonderful gods the ancient Greeks had and yet all it needed was one or two people to come over from Israel to tell them about the ‘one god’ and the old ones were abandoned. Among the many we’ve had, there was one who was smart enough to only call himself the son of god, but Jesus quickly saw that he better leave so he returned to his father. Funnily, by leaving he was more effective than if he’d stayed among us. I’d say that the most recent godlike being is Robert. If we are to define a god by what it is capable of doing, he should be a god. However, he begins to tremble with anguish if anyone even thinks of him as a god. Just as well, it would not have been much fun being the wife of a god.”

Robbie surprised us by reacting with humour. “If what you say is true about me, that explains you and Jade. As the Father of Jesus had a few angels gone wrong, so do I also have my imps. Thank goodness you have not gone bad, just your sense of humour is wicked.” It is just as well we block the surrounding crowds from our discussions.

We had a nice party for Robbie’s birthday and Lusalith danced for the first time ever! She likes some of our music so we offered her a player with twenty thousands songs built in, but she refused us. She explained that if she becomes immersed in the music she might not be as aware of her people’s needs for that time. The more she tells us, the less I like the idea of any child having to become a god.

I did not celebrate my second wedding as I prefer to stick to my first wedding anniversary. Cherine agrees with me, the first was the important one, the second we both see as a sort of reaffirmation - though I must admit her second wedding(s) were memorable enough.

On the 19th of January PC19, our isi-mi was officially made our sister. That makes this the twentieth anniversary and it means our Syrina is also twenty years old now. isi has chosen to celebrate both, with us on Earth in her usual Terran body. Now we have to think of something to make this day special for her. Nothing of civilisation would appeal to her, so we have to find a unique environment for her to enjoy. Syrina has come up with an idea we’d never have thought of since she has never entered the sea when we go swimming. Robbie will create a small platform for us to visit the Great Barrier Reef. Since we will be underwater without her having to experience it directly, she will be able to concentrate on the corals and marine life. When she was told, she asked Robbie if she can go in her own body and he agreed.

We’ve been on Earth for over two months. The governments have been very good about leaving us to relax without pestering us with meetings that are only jockeying by them for concessions that would increase their standing among other governments. We were elated to read that a survey was made and it is now official that murders per annum are down by over sixty percent compared to pre-Cherinian days. Crime in general has only reduced by about fifteen percent. Known, by the legal enforcement agencies, cases of child sexual abuse has declined dramatically and they think they are winning the ‘war’. Robbie was right, by us interfering they now have a skewed view of the truth. Luckily they ‘unofficially’ know that we are handling many of these cases.

Theresa wants Robbie to suggest to Interpol that they supply photos of the faces of children newly being shown at paedophile sites (including any details of the adults with them) so that Terran Cherinians can search for them. Robbie is not eager and asked for time to think about it as the Normals have already created such a database.

Alki and Marian have told us privately that they wish to marry Julia, their daughter, on the 26th of March, so that she has the same wedding anniversary date as her parents. The date is obviously a biggie for her as we can sense her excitement. I must say she has shown remarkable patience, she’s waited for this for twenty years! None of us would have. They want Robbie to officiate and they also want the wedding to take place at a time when the ruined chapel was still remote from the built up area. It will be nice to visit the past again as there are a number of things I want to buy that I can’t get anymore.

The wedding was wonderful, but now we have less than a month to think of a way to celebrate Cherine's birthday. Robbie is starting to listen in to us as he’s hoping we’ll come up with something special.

Next [Book 11] - Post 032

I hope you enjoy reading this story of fantasy, adventure and love - and should some of it be true for our reality, I hope you will love our Cherine.
