The You That Is Me

This is me...when I am feeling creative

These words that briefly danced in my mind, were inspired by John J Geddes
( @johnjgeddes ), a creator of vibrant worlds and ghostly dreams - and a gentleman to boot
Last week we had a brief conversation about a poem of his and these words then came to me. This is a truth, that those of talent can be dangerous, for they sometimes infect us with their visions, but do not gift us with the talent to write words like music from the soul. This is all I had in me - I hope it reverberates within you for a few seconds.

The You That Is Me

How is it I can love you?
Is it that you hold,
that you are,
a part of me?

How else could I love you
if all was nothing less
than strange,
of the unknown?

But what of that part,
the me that is you,
is it purer than I
or so vile it fascinates?

I know nothing
but that I love,
nothing,
but that I too,
in part,
am of the you
that is me
