Before I came onto the web, I lived a very insulated life. No interest in reading the news...since all of it was very quickly not of interest. If I am told something happened, I want further information, I want to know what the consequences were and how it will affect our lives. Newspapers never do follow-ups. I never watched television as I rebel at being indoctrinated.

All this meant that I did not get to know much about Cohen until he died. I knew many of his songs, but that was all. Seeing this speech of his touched me also.

In my books of Cherine, they meet an Italian professore who is also a world famous poet. At one point he talks about himself and poetry. Would it be presumptiou of me if I copy and paste it here for you (that part is not going to appear in steemit for at least a year so I will not be spoiling it for any readers I may have). Anyway, memories are too short here, for anyone to worry about being remembered :)
