(Lol, I had my new Bible blessed yesterday but I didn't post about it. I was p*ssed because the "fake leather" cover of the book is too sensitive.
When I took the Bible out of my bag, the edges were mostly scratched off, like it's been used and abused and already old. Haha. It's brand new and I haven't even read it and then I had it blessed but it became damaged right after I got home. 😂)
Ugh... just look at those scratches and dents.
Of course any book lover would get disappointed. I used to be one but since I stopped reading books years ago I can be meh. But this is the Bible, it's THE WORD OF GOD and it's not looking so new anymore!!! 😢 Ah well...
Wala lang. Anyway if I look at it from a different perspective, what does it matter? The content is still there. It's just a thing, like everything else. So meh, ok di bale na kahit mukhang nabugbog yung libro dahil lang nalagay at nahalu-halo sa bag ko. Ang mas importante is basahin ko ung laman. Yun yun.
(Just saying. Anyway if I look at it from a different perspective, what does it matter? The content is still there. It's just a thing, like everything else. So meh, ok, it doesn't matter if the book looks battered just because it was placed and mixed up in my bag. The most important thing is that I read the content. That's what's up.)
In other news...
Apparently January is National Bible Month, and last week of January naman National Bible Week so January 21 and January 28 Sundays had churches blessing Bibles. I never even knew there's such a thing now.
And today being the last Monday of the month, it is actually National Bible Day!!! It became a Special Non Working Holiday since 2018 under Republic Act 11163. The law was authored by Sen. Manny Pacquiao (one of our Christian senators and yes he is the popular world boxing champ!), and was signed by then president Duterte.
So sakto pala talaga (Really very timely) I got a new Catholic Bible early this month. Finally got it blessed and hopefully I can finally read more of it!!!
How about you, did you know about this? Or do you also have a National Bible Day in your country? 😁
