Maybe it will be possible to just do it a bit differently when Covid is over? Is there enough space to take in someone to live with you - a young man perhaps - who might be a part time carer in exchange for food and a place to sleep? To relieve your parents a bit as they age and to break that dependent feeling a little?

It's natural for a young man to be uncomfortable in this position. Just know there is wisdom and learning here for you.... about what really matters. I know of other disabled people who struggle alone and would give anything to have a carer.
