Todo el tiempo nos están observando y la sociedad crea una historia detrás del personaje, que en ocasiones coinciden en algunos puntos, pero el mayor porcentaje, dista mucho de la realidad. La sociedad en general, los vecinos, amigos e inclusive parientes, teorizan sobre tu vida particular, y por supuesto también nuestros hijos. Ayer me corté el pelo y como siempre digo pareciera como que me sacan una década de encima. Cuando me encuentro con mi hija mayor me dice: *papá, qué lindo que estás* y agradeciendo el piropo me pregunto, ¿Qué pasará por su cabecita? Pasado unos minutos me dice, papá, mañana quiero salir a andar en bicicleta con vos y por supuesto que sin poner ningún tipo de excusas, le dije obvio que sí, hija mía. Y mientras escribo esto estoy esperando que se levante para salir a rodar un rato. >! [English] *We're constantly being watched, and society creates a story behind our public persona. Sometimes they agree on a few points, but most of the time, it falls far short of reality. Society in general—neighbors, friends, even relatives—theorize about your personal life, and of course, so do our children. Yesterday I got a haircut, and as I always say, it makes me look a decade younger. When I see my eldest daughter, she says, "Dad, you look so handsome!" And thanking her for the compliment, I wonder, "What's going through her head?" A few minutes later, she says, "Dad, I want to go bike riding with you tomorrow," and of course, without making any excuses, I said, "Of course, my daughter." Dista mucho de la realidad obtener resultados físicos de manera inmediata. En la miniatura coloco una imagen que no recuerdo de qué tiempo fue, pero es indudable que soy yo excedido de peso. Y también otra captura que lo hice en las fiestas de fin de año. ¿Qué pasó en el medio? Fue el entrenamiento o quizás otras cuestiones. Y aquí quiero ser enfático. >! Sonará redundante lo que digo, pero según mi experiencia, todo está en los hábitos. Tenemos que cerrar el pico y comer lo necesario. Más aún, comer inteligentemente. El otro día me compartieron un video que desconozco su origen, pero que me dejó una frase que me lo tatuaría. **La alimentación se entrena**. Y como todos saben, se entrena con asiduidad, constancia, dedicación, creencia y sobre todo un deseo ardiente de lograrlo. Conozco ciclistas que son o están excedidos de pesos. Con esto quiero decir que no pasa por la disciplina deportiva que uno practique. Pasa por la nutrición indefectiblemente. Puedes entrenar todo lo que quieras, correr, caminar, hacer ciclismo y siempre estará bien. Pero el control de peso lo hacemos a través de nutrirnos conscientemente. Que no te alcanza para comprar comida saludable o tienes ese pensamiento de que para comer saludable siempre es más caro. En algún punto puede que tenga razón, pero créeme que **se puede.** En este TBT de jueves, expongo mis resultados y sinceramente me siento muy bien. Pero el mensaje principal que quiero dejar es que nada es casualidad. En nuestro día a día y me animo a decir en nuestro minuto a minuto, si somos consciente de lo que ingerimos, vamos a lograr reducir nuestro peso corporal, cambiar nuestros hábitos por un estilo de vida más saludables y sobre todo disfrutar del proceso. Por último, quiero decir que el ayuno intermitente me ha ayudado en demasía y os recomiendo que busquen información para ponerlo en práctica en sus vidas El ingreso al deporte es el primer paso y es por eso que acompañaré a mi hija para que al estar más juntos nos mimetizamos y pueda yo trasladarles esos conocimientos o esas experiencias que me han hecho estar como estoy. Por supuesto que puedo estar mejor y allí vamos. Feliz jueves para todos. >! [English] *Nothing is a coincidence; rather, everything is causal. It might sound redundant, but in my experience, it's all about habits. We have to stop overeating and eat what we need. Even more importantly, we have to eat intelligently. The other day, someone shared a video with me—I don't know where it came from—but it left me with a phrase I'd love to have tattooed on my heart. Nutrition is something you train. And as everyone knows, it requires regularity, consistency, dedication, belief, and above all, a burning desire to succeed. I know cyclists who are overweight. What I mean by this is that it's not about the sport you practice. It's undeniably about nutrition. You can train all you want, run, walk, cycle, and it will always be fine. But we control our weight by nourishing ourselves consciously. Perhaps you can't afford healthy food, or you think that eating healthy is always more expensive. You might be right to some extent, but believe me, it's possible. In this Throwback Thursday post, I'm sharing my results, and honestly, I feel great. But the main message I want to convey is that nothing is a coincidence. In our daily lives—and I'd even say minute by minute—if we're mindful of what we eat, we can reduce our body weight, change our habits for a healthier lifestyle, and above all, enjoy the process. Finally, I want to say that intermittent fasting has helped me tremendously, and I recommend you look for information on how to incorporate it into your lives. Getting into exercise is the first step, and that's why I'll be supporting my daughter so that, by spending more time together, we can learn from each other and I can pass on the knowledge and experiences that have helped me get to where I am today.
