After watching military planes take off from Del Toro Airstrip, I attempted to destroy the anti-aircraft cannon using Molotovs and my Supremo, but both failed.
When Guapo accidentally compromised my stealth position, I dismissed him, eliminated the searching guards, and tested my silenced shotgun against the heavily armored cannon.
Picking up a new side objective near the runway, I watched another military airplane lift off from the runway. The sight made me wonder just how many aircraft Castillo's forces had stationed at this single airstrip.
I paused to activate photo mode and scan the surrounding sky and airfield, but saw no additional planes parked in the hangars or on the runway, suggesting those two were the last to depart.
With the air clear, it was time to destroy the anti-aircraft cannon. I stepped up and hurled a volley of Molotovs directly onto the structure, but the flames washed over the heavy plating without causing any structural damage.
Switching tactics, I activated my Supremo pack to rain explosive rockets onto the target. The ordnance proved too fast and overshot the cannon entirely, crashing into the terrain behind it.
Expecting the loud explosions to draw Castillo's soldiers straight to my location, I quickly fell back to put some distance between myself and the impact zone.
My suspicion was correct as a patrol of soldiers immediately moved in to inspect the blast site. Tucked safely behind cover, I watched them search the area. One female guard seemed to catch a glimpse of my movement, forcing me to duck deep into a nearby bush.
She paused in confusion, holding her fire for a brief moment before suddenly opening fire directly into my cover. I raised my weapon, returned fire, and eliminated her before her squad mates could converge on the noise.
Looking down, I realized it was Guapo who had given away the position. The lady spotted the crocodile trailing behind me rather than seeing me directly. I was certain I had dismissed him earlier, so I opened the command interface to send him away again, and watched him waddle back into the brush.
With Guapo gone, I stalked the remaining soldiers searching the area, catching a patrol off guard and eliminating her quietly with a machete strike.
Returning to the intact cannon, I used my silenced shotgun to try shotgun and blasting it only to watch the rounds bounced off the reinforced armor without leaving a scratch.
