I met Philly and his wheel-bound dog Chorizo, and Dani endured a tense prank involving an explosive switch. After learning about Espada, I spawned a vintage plane at Philly's airstrip. Taking to the sky, I flew into an anti-aircraft zone, jumping out and parachuting to safety just before the aircraft exploded.
Meeting up with a quirky mechanic named Philly, he immediately pointed at the Supremo gear on Dani's back and asked for a cold beer.
Before Dani could process the weird greeting, Philly handed him a small device, warning him it was a live switch linked to explosives that would detonate if he moves an inch.
As Dani froze in place, a little two-wheeled, crippled dog named Chorizo waddled into view. Philly used the leverage to interrogate Dani about his motives, so Dani made it clear he was looking for allies to help bring down Anton Castillo.
Satisfied with the answer, Philly disarmed the device, though the explosive went off anyway just as Dani stepped forward, tossing debris everywhere.
A truck pulled into the workshop, and Philly began explaining that if Dani want to team up with the Montero family as Clara suggested, he would need to win over "Baby" Montero. Before heading out, Philly eyed Dani's gear again, mentioning he wanted to mess around with the Supremo the next time they cross paths.
He jumped into the truck and drove off, officially kicking off the mission. My main objective was to find Espada, the daughter of the Montero family, who was last spotted near a local tobacco plantation.
Looking around Philly's workshop for transport, I spotted a row of ATVs parked in the garage and commandeered one without asking.
Exploring the property further, I discovered Philly had built a full airstrip equipped with a vehicle call station. Accessing the terminal revealed I could spawn a 1946 Angelito LA-240 kit plane.
Excited to get airborne so early in the game, I summoned the aircraft, taxied down the runway, and took off into the sky, taking in sweeping views of the Yaran islands from above.
While flying toward the objective, Dani radioed Philly for details on what the plantation looked like and where Espada might be hiding.
Mid-conversation, I accidentally flew straight into an active anti-aircraft zone controlled by Castillo's military forces. Flak cannons opened fire on the plane, shredding the hull instantly.
As the aircraft went down, I bailed out at the very last second, pulling the parachute cord just meters above the ground to avoid getting vaporized in the explosion.
Sliding onto the dirt, I emerged unharmed right close to the tobacco plantation, ready to search for Espada on foot.
How about we continue in another post?
