We should ALWAYS remain teachable, because all that means is that we are still willing to learn. The moment you think you know it all, you’re no longer teachable. Why? Because you don’t think there’s anything left for you to learn since you know it all. This is a wrong type of mistake to make since you stunt your growth when you do this. that goes for both mentally and physically. Those neurons that are firing and making new connections in your brain will begin to slow down. Connections that you stop using will break apart.
Don’t let this be you. That’s why you should remain teachable. You want to learn new things and get better at whatever it is you do. There’s usually more than one way of doing something. Sometimes one way may be better than another depending on what you’re trying to do. This is another reason why you wanna learn new things. Let other pass their knowledge onto you. Who knows how it’ll benefit you in the long run.
I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadn’t remained teachable. I’d still be that kid just drawing in pencil. I wasn’t even sketching at this point. At least, not in my opinion. I had to later develop my skills in order to learn how to sketch, and in such a way where I could erase and you wouldn’t tell. I doubt I would’ve ever started using ink either. Or looking online at how to draw certain things and blend colors together. Basically, I wouldn’t even be the man that I am today if I didn’t remain teachable. 😅
So please, remain teachable throughout your life. Don’t ever think that you know everything and there’s nothing left for you to learn.
