A whole lot had happened this past week, the prompt was a perfect match to how I felt. It honestly wasn’t the best of weeks, sometimes you just have to be thankful for Art. It was a way to express all the emotion I’d held back
Materials: UniPin Ink Pens, Staedtler Pencils, Sinoart sketchbook
With the idea in mind, I simply pieced together references and got sketching
Next I inked over the pencil lines selectively, taking care to leave gaps between lines to serve as highlights. I used the hatching method to separate the dark areas before proceeding to cross- hatch.
I kept laying the lines over one another to improve the contrast after which I added the cast shadow and the blood splatters. Then it was pretty much done!
