In the beginning of crypto there was this big myth and excitement about financial freedom, liberation etc etc all these nice buzzwords to onboard a lot of people who never would have gotten involved in such a scheme without the hope to change the systems we live in to a better. With nft it is getting the clearest it has ever been. The development at the moment will turn the world in a hyper capitalist bs system, far worse than we could even imagine at the moment. Even fewer people will control the destiny of the billions of people on earth (nft is just a metaphor for how it will be, in this space, some extremely wealthy whales make even more money, praising themselves as "artists" and selling their bs to each other - correct me if I am wrong but it is obvious when pixel images which are copies of themselves over and over again get sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars, and I am not saying every nft is bs, but the overwhelming ones sold are, obviously) and it will get worse. Creators of "liberating" art platforms are yet talking about how it will be possible to ban and thus destroy people and their opinions if they don't agree with them. I am wondering if anybody in between the hype is aware that these people yet define themselves as dictators of content.
I am sure there are many people asking these questions.
As the pace of technological invention is accelerating day by day we should be very careful if we just accept every bs invention and if it is worth taking part without really knowing in what and without changing anything or changing it for the worse.
