Sembramos una Huerta Escolar 💚♻️

En Vida Verde tenemos varios proyectos que hemos ido consolidando en el tiempo, Talleres de títeres ecológicos, Talleres de Bio construcción, Talleres de huertas comunitarias, Talleres Web3 y Talleres de Huertas escolares entre otros.

El Aula es la Huerta o Conuco* School es programa creado por @vidaverdeve el cual se encarga de enseñar a niños y niñas a cultivar sus alimentos de forma 100% Orgánica. Empezando por la germinación, sin usar agro tóxicos, damos toda la información necesaria a nivel nutricional para una alimentación sana, balanceada que les sirve a los más pequeños tener un conocimiento que pueden tener para toda la vida.

Este taller fue dictado por @cvnuitter Creadora del proyecto, siempre vinculada a todos los procesos formativos.

Conuco* Termino aborigen usado para referirse al sistema ancestral y tradicional de siembra en la región Caribeña. Cuya traducción al castellano podría ser Jardín comestible y proviene del Taíno.

El Liceo Juan de Escalona estrena su primera Huerta Escolar

Gracias a la gestión colectiva entre @vidaverdeve en conjunto con el Liceo Juan de escalona y grupo local de Scouts pusimos en marcha la primera jornada para instalar el primer huerto en esta institución educativa. Este liceo tiene más de 500 estudiantes que cursan todo el ciclo de educación secundaria. Ellos serán los principales beneficiarios de esta iniciativa donde el huerto con más de 100 plantulas que donó @vidaverdeve podrán surtir en un plazo de 3 meses al comedor escolar del liceo.

Entre los rubros que dejamos sembrados están: Ají Rosita , Ají dulce, Pimentón y berenjenas. Al empezar la temporada de cosecha haremos una nueva visita para sembrar nuevos rubros como lechuga, tomate, cebollino. Además estos cultivos están en asociación lo que significa que las plantas se ayudan con nutrientes y mantener a ralla a algunos insectos no benéficos en este tipo de cultivos.

Visión a futuro

Nos encantaría poder hacer en cada institución educativa el proyecto del Aula es la Huerta. Sobre todo por la situación económica que ha vivido Venezuela en la última década. Este programa puede tener un impacto positivo en el futuro de la alimentación escolar. @vidaverdeve siempre va estar comprometido con la independencia alimentaria para lograr mayor éxito en el crecimiento y desarrollo de los más jóvenes.

La actividad comenzó muy temprano en la mañana para venir a buscar las plantulas que estaban resguardadas Vida Verde hasta el momento de la siembra. Gracias a la gran cantidad de Scouts pudimos empezar la faena, desmalezando, luego reparamos uno bancales ya que al principio habían 10 pero luego decidimos que iniciaran con 5 para tener un mejor manejo y adaptación del cuidado de los cultivos. En total participaron más de 40 niños, niñas y adolescentes de los diferentes grados Scouts haciendo del trabajo fuerte algo amigable y con una vibra positiva y espectacular.

Al final de la actividad realizamos una fotografía grupal sellando nuestro trabajo en una jornada inolvidable para todos. Sembrar te mejora el alma y te llena de alegría.

In Vida Verde we have several projects that we have been consolidating over time, Ecological Puppet Workshops, Bio construction Workshops, Community Garden Workshops, Web3 Workshops and School Garden Workshops among others.

The Classroom is the Garden or Conuco* School is a program created by @vidaverdeve which is responsible for teaching children to grow their food in a 100% Organic way. Starting with germination, without using toxic agrochemicals, we give all the necessary nutritional information for a healthy, balanced diet that serves the little ones to have a knowledge that they can have for life.

This workshop was taught by @cvnuitter Creator of the project, always linked to all training processes.

Conuco* Aboriginal term used to refer to the ancestral and traditional system of planting in the Caribbean region. Its translation into Spanish could be Edible Garden and comes from the Taino language.

Liceo Juan de Escalona opens its first School Garden.

Thanks to the management of @vidaverdeve in conjunction with the Liceo Juan de Escalona and local group of Scouts we launched the first day to install the first garden in this educational institution. This high school has more than 500 students who attend the entire secondary education cycle. They will be the main beneficiaries of this initiative where the garden with more than 100 seedlings donated by @vidaverdeve will be able to supply the school canteen within 3 months.

Among the crops that we planted are: Ají Rosita , Ají dulce, Paprika and eggplants. At the beginning of the harvest season we will make a new visit to plant new crops such as lettuce, tomato and chives. In addition these crops are in association which means that the plants help each other with nutrients and keep some non-beneficial insects at bay in this type of crops.

**Vision for the future

We would love to be able to do the Aula es la Huerta project in every educational institution. Especially because of the economic situation that Venezuela has experienced in the last decade. This program can have a positive impact on the future of school food. @vidaverdeve will always be committed to food independence to achieve greater success in the growth and development of the youngest.

The activity started very early in the morning to come and pick up the seedlings that were kept in Vida Verde until the moment of planting. Thanks to the large number of Scouts we were able to start the work, weeding, then we repaired one of the beds since at the beginning there were 10 but then we decided to start with 5 to have a better management and adaptation of the care of the crops. In total, more than 40 boys, girls and teenagers from the different Scout grades participated, making the hard work friendly and with a positive and spectacular vibe.
