How long has it been again?

I have actually lost count. It's been many days since we actually went out for something other than a grocery run. I used to enjoy grocery shopping. It somehow relieves me of stress, and just walking around the aisles makes me almost forget my worries.

That was before all this craziness happened.

Even at the grocery, it's almost impossible to go without getting worried that I might catch that virus. There's no form of comfort, whatsoever. How can we even get complacent when the very thing we are battling is invisible?

There you are, my stress reliever, now a cause of stress.

I long to see these colorful flowers again...

It's been a while since I had a long walk outside. Long walks give my mind a way to de-clutter. When everything seems unbearable, a breath of fresh air and the sight of bright, colorful flowers really make a difference to my emotional state.

My kids need a break.

Yes, a break from the strangling confines of home. They need to have that outlet to release all those extra energy they have. Without killing each other, please.

They love to bounce and run around the parks. Go down the slide and climb the rails. Nowadays, they have to make do with what they have at home.

Come to think of it, I am glad I have three kids, in times like these. Imagine if a kid is locked down alone with a bunch of adults! That could be super torture for him. Though my kids almost always kill each other sometimes, there are still those heart-melting moments when I get re-assured that no matter what, they will have each others' backs.

When this is over...

It will probably be the peak of summer when this is all over. Irony is, that is also the time when we don't almost go out. A few weeks from now, it will be too hot, beach will almost be intolerable. The humidity will be too high, you don't even have to walk far to get sweaty. Just stand outside for a minute, and you'll be good (?).

However, the thought that we will all get through this, is what should keep us going. It will be over, and I pray it happens soon.

I still look forward to a world outside, full of promises.

Everything

will be

all right.

After all, I prayed for this too. I prayed for more time to spend at home with my kids. I prayed for freedom from the office drama.

God really has an incomprehensible sense of humor.
