I'm Elated!
Well, what do you know? I am now officially 3 years old in the "blog-chain!". That's 36 months of almost consistently sharing my content here and as most of us here, that all started in the good 'ol steem blockchain.
The journey has been fruitful so far, and I have learned a lot along the way (thanks to the many great content creators out here.
Since then, the blockchain has been my companion - my outlet when I want to share my content, my joys, feats, and even frustrations. My mainstream social media accounts have been only for lurking purposes, just to keep updated with some of my family and friends, and some current events too. Otherwise, I almost completely stopped sharing my content in these social media platforms. Whenever, most of the time, they premiered here on the blockchain first.
3 Years and What?
In the span of three years, I have supposedly made 2,111 followers, but who knows how many of them are "dead followers", haha. I have gained a reputation score of 66.273 and a total of 5,405 total posts (blogs and comments alike). I know that is not too much, but I am slowly catching up on engagement again.
My content mainly revolves around parenting, homeschooling, food, a little bit of travel and some videos too.
Over the years, I tried using different dApps. Of them, I used @actifit a lot. There was a time in 2018, a few weeks after they launched that I posted my daily blogs through the actifit app. It was a great motivation for me to keep healthy, and put out a blog daily.
I have joined many communities too - @thealliance,
@steemitmamas,
@steemph (now
@hiveph), mainly. Just the same, I fell off track somehow, having to balance engagement on the blockchain and my real life obligations. I am proud to have been part of these families.
Three Years Highlight
A lot has happened, I even dipped my toes into gaming. Lol. I did drugwars.io, and @splinterlands (I am back after 2 years hiatus). I'll never consider myself a gamer, but I had/have fun whenever I play.
Well, you won't dig deep into my 5000+ posts and comments over the past three years, so I want to share some snippets of some of them.
The most recent ones this year, I guess are easier to find on my main page, so I won't add them to the list.

The glory days of 2018, let's bring them back?
I think the most productive I have been on the blockchain (on/off) was in 2018, when steem was at it's peak, and we had an influx of users. We had many off-chain activities like meet ups and community service here in the UAE, and it was a lot of fun. Getting to know other bloggers beyond their usernames is something. We get to put a personal touch to the engagement, and make lasting friendships, too.
With the birth of Hive, hopes and expectations are high, and people are slowly coming back. We have lots of new users who get onboard too. I just hope that they will stay here even when the value of the tokens drop. I hope that along the way, they also find their little space here on hive and continue to share their passion to others.
I cannot over-emphasize how then steem and now Hive, has changed my mindset, and a lot of learnings that came with it. Steem was my first step to knowing cryptocurrency. I never knew about it even after I made my first few posts. I now have a few holdings of different cryptocurrencies, all thanks to this platform.
I think I am overtagging already. For that I apologize, and please let it pass this time. The next one may be after 12 months again. Lol. Last, let me also tag @canadian-coconut, for the support, always. We're always grateful. Not to forget,
@surpassinggoogle, who was there on almost all of my posts. I wish you well on all your projects and in your health, especially.
Hah! It's been a long 3 year journey. I wanted to document it here on the Hive Blockchain, as I never really thought of it as that long already. Time passes by quickly when we're having a great time, right?
That's all for my 3rd Blockchain Birthday post. I hope somehow, this inspires you too (especially the newbies).
Cheers, and see you around!
