The Apostle Paul was saying: I am not ashamed. Although he was in prison awaiting the fulfillment of the death sentence, Paul had written in Romans 1:16, I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. And going back to verse 8 of this first chapter of 2 Timothy, we see that Paul strongly urged Timothy not to be ashamed either. Sometimes Christians are reluctant to express their personal testimony of what God has done in their lives. We feel shy, but it should not be like that.
And he continued saying Pablo I am sure he is powerful to keep my deposit. This means that Paul placed his faith in Christ until the day of judgment. Or it may also mean "God has made a deposit with me." God's deposit of gifts in Paul's life made him a debtor to the whole world.

You and I are debtors. Upon hearing this, you may say: "Well, I honestly pay my debts." Well, the truth is that you and I have not paid our honest debts until every person on earth has heard the gospel message.
The phrase is powerful to keep my deposit is important because it gives us great confidence to know that everything we are and have is in His hands.
