Allow me to change that creature word for "creation." We recognize that this verse is a verse that is mentioned many times today. We have heard him mention at meetings in which people give testimony of their faith, telling about their conversion to Christ. They say that they no longer satisfy certain bad habits to which they gave themselves before their conversion, and that they consider this change of behavior as a fulfillment of this verse.

If you and I are a new creation in Christ Jesus, what are the old things that have happened? Remember that we use an illustration about the fall of man from the top of the mountain to the foot of it, where we all live, that we are sinners. Now that we have trusted in Christ, those relationships that we had before have been left behind. We no longer identify with Adam, the one who fell from the top of the mountain. We are no longer identified with the mundane system of relationships and values. Now we are identified with Jesus Christ. We have been baptized, introduced into the body of believers and belong to the Lord of that body. These are the old things that have happened, and the new element now is the new relationship we have with the Lord Jesus Christ, who is in the heavenly glory.

Let's be very practical in this aspect. Let's talk about things as they are in reality, dear friend of steemit. Now, someone may say, "This is a great verse, but how can I really know if I am a new creation in Christ?" Well, let's listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ said, in the Gospel according to John, chapter 5, verse 24; The Lord said: "Most assuredly, I say to you, He who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and will not come to condemnation, but has passed from death to life." Have you believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, dear listener? Do you trust Him? Are you sure? Well, if you have done so, He assures you that you have eternal life and will not be condemned, but that you have passed from death to life. This makes you a new creation, which is no longer subject to condemnation or death. You have passed into the sphere of life.

Do not try to base your confidence on the experience. You are already a new creation because Jesus Christ said so. The basis of his new position is found in the Word of God. You no longer belong to the old creation that fell with Adam. The new creation is firm in Christ, and you, dear listener, are in Him, are united to Him, if you are placing your trust in Him. You and I are in a place of danger and temptation, and we can fail in many ways . But, the wonderful truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ has redeemed us and that we are in Him a new creation.
