Spanish Steps - watercolour on paper
Hello everyone Hivers and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a watercolour painting depicting one of the most famous old squares in the world, Spanish Steps. I often go to Rome to see it in all its Baroque beauty, at the base of the famous steps is the even more famous fountain called the Barcaccia (meaning a rough boat) made by Pietro Bernini.
Many horse-drawn carriages can be found in the square and tourists enjoy a tour of ancient Rome.
With watercolours, I tried to reproduce the delightful appearance of the staircase and buildings and the bright colours of the sky in Rome.
In short, a multitude of works of art in a few dozen metres, and I have portrayed it with a watercolour and I hope you like it.
