Playing at sunset - watercolor on paper

Hello everyone dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I present to you a watercolor that I really care about and that I started two years ago. The main subject is a sunset over the sea and three people against the light. A father and two sons watching the scene, and above a balloon and a kite.

I wanted to represent a family union, strengthened by the hands in the hands of all three characters, and the youngest child points upwards. I tried to represent a scene where the amazement that comes from love for family is reinforced by the warm colors of nature at sunset.

I painted a romantic scene that reminds me of my past as a child and of many other children. As a child I looked at the balloon at the top with my mouth open, naive, because I loved its flight towards the blue sky, everything filled me with wonder. I watched it go further and further into the sky, it became a tiny little dot and then disappeared.

Forever, like my father passed away.

A hug from the red of the sunset over the sea.

Armando
