Easter horizon.

40th day of quarantine.

Hello to all dear friends and welcome back to my blog. First of all, I hope that you are well and safe and that you have had a good day. Today I share with you an oil painting on canvas that represents a very vast landscape. A dream in the time of quarantine.

In this period of lockdown the desire rises in us to get out of our mental and physical constructions, to dream of open spaces where we can move freely without induced or ancestral fears.

I started painting this picture 35 days, when hell broke loose in Italy, and I felt the need to represent something clean veined by an ideal of freedom.

I had suspended it, left it in the closet in the dark, because I wasn't in the mood to carry it on, the soft colors I no longer had inside me, for a month I only felt anguish and sadness invade me in the days of solitude.

Three days ago I reopened the closet, took the painting, put it on the easel and heard a call from that open horizon, a window on the world I would like.

I wanted to enrich it with a row of trees, invented like the rest of the painting, I strengthened the ground with warm ocher yellow and painted the sea in the background.

I left the mark of our suffering evoked in the tree on the left, bare and only solitary witness.

My landscape is the landscape of all those who dream of a new vitality full of delicate colors and welcoming nature.

We are paying a very high price for our health and for our freedom, perhaps we will learn to respect Nature and take care of the environment in which we live, but above all our children will live.

Orizzonte di Pasqua.

40° giorno di quarantena.

Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog.

Anzitutto mi auguro che stiate bene e al sicuro e che abbiate passato una buona giornata.

Oggi condivido con voi un dipinto ad olio su tela che rappresenta un paesaggio molto vasto.

Un sogno al tempo della quarantena.

In questo periodo di lockdown sale in noi il desiderio di uscire dalle nostre costruzioni mentali e fisiche, di sognare spazi aperti dove muoverci liberamente senza paure indotte o ancestrali.

Questo quadro ho iniziato a dipingerlo 35 giorni, quando in Italia si era scatenato l'inferno, ed ho sentito l'esigenza di rappresentare qualcosa di pulito venato da un ideale di libertà.

Lo avevo sospeso, lasciato dentro lo stanzino al buio, perchè non ero dell'umore giusto per portarlo avanti, i colori tenui non li avevo più dentro di me, per un mese ho sentito solo angoscia e tristezza invadermi nei giorni di solitudine.

Tre giorni fa ho riaperto lo stanzino ho preso il dipinto, l'ho messo sul cavalletto e ho sentito un richiamo da quell'orizzonte aperto, una finestra sul mondo che vorrei.

Ho voluto arricchirlo con un filare di alberi, inventati come tutto il resto del quadro, ho rafforzato il terreno con il giallo ocra caldo e dipinto il mare sullo sfondo.

Ho lasciato il segno della nostra sofferenza evocata nell'albero a sinistra, spoglio e unico testimone solitario.

Il mio paesaggio è il paesaggio di tutti quelli che sognano una nuova vitalità ricca di colori delicati e di Natura accogliente.

Stiamo pagando un prezzo altissimo per la nostra salute e per la nostra libertà, forse impararemo a rispettare la Natura e prenderci cura dell'ambiente in cui viviamo, ma soprattutto vivranno i nostri figli.
