Ancient medieval tower - watercolor on paper

Ancient medieval tower - watercolor on paper

Hello all dear Hivers friends, here I am on a Sunday afternoon sharing a new watercolor depicting a quaint and ancient corner of my town.

Starting from my shot, I began the new adventure on medieval architecture, trying to give a tactile value to this 10th century watchtower.

I tried to highlight the construction features, both of the cubature and especially of the stone and brick materials.

Below are all the steps of the creative process and I hope you enjoy it.

Have a good Sunday.

Armando.

Buona domenica.

Armando.
