Now, how about spontaneous forestation?
Even if Spriting looks like a lot of simple and small images put together, they actually take so much time to do mostly if you want to make things look nice and smooth. Its so time consuming that I usually avoid it and stick to single big images. However, making a sprite art look smooth is just great, even if its something simple as a growing tree. I took the lazy approach on this, making the tree first then shrinking it little by little.
This approach is so simple that anybody can do it! Just take one big sprite, copy it and cut it a bit, fix misplaced pixels, then repeat! It actually took me only 2~3 hours to do almost 30 frames. Now, imagine the entire forest grow at the same style! I'll sure come back to this and redraw it one day.
