Continued from The Legend of Gaia: Part 1

Beneath the great tree, a lifeless figure emerges.

Filled with the power of the word, the figure comes to life.

"You are one with me, as I am with you."

The tree loved its creation. For it is no longer alone.

As the sun sets, darkness fills the land.

The stars shone ever brightly, illuminating the cloudless earth.

From the shadows of creation, emerges an unknown entity.

Formless, shapeless, an unimaginable darkness rises.

Full of hate, the darkness emanates. A creation unbeknownst to the great tree.

Bizarre yet familiar, the tree confronts the darkness.

"Why are thou surprised o-great tree, for I am but you"

"I am one with you, as I am to your creation"

"Balance in this universe must we preserve, one cannot exist without the other"

"Should you choose to spare me not, forever alone will you be"

The great tree chooses to spare the darkness, for it cannot bear an eternity of solitude.

The darkness lived, hiding in the heart of the tree's creation.

Under the influence of the darkness, the creation learned to hate.
