Archmage Update: Back on Hive With Land Harvests, Free Chest Claims and Stronger Champion Play

Greetings, Battle Mages!

It has been a while since our last post here, but Archmage never stopped working. This is the first of a regular series again: what changed, why, and whether you need to do anything (usually not). Here is the highlight reel from the last few weeks.

Land auto-harvest

If you own Splinterlands land, switch on Auto-harvest Land on the new Land page at archmage.app. We harvest each region you own just before its plots hit the 7-day point where worksites stop producing, so nothing is left on the table and you pay for as few transactions as possible. Keep and Castle taxes can be collected on their own schedule. The bot follows the game's own per-plot clock, so harvesting by hand in between is fine. We never buy grain or spend DEC for you.

The same page has the Land Optimiser. It suggests where your idle cards earn the most, and it now also spots working cards that would earn more on a different plot. Each suggested move shows what the 3-day unstake cooldown costs and how long the move takes to pay for itself.

Chests and draws claimed for you

Season reward chests are now opened for you when a new season starts, and your weekly ranked draw prize is claimed when the draw finishes. Season chests carry energy that stacks above the usual cap, so your account plays those extra battles straight away. Neither claim buys anything, and both can be switched off in Settings if you prefer to open your own.

Energy from Glint, and energy you add yourself

Auto Glint Draws for Energy (Settings, off by default) buys Glint shop loot chests when your energy runs low, since that energy also stacks above the cap. You choose the chest tier, a GLINT balance to keep, and a daily cap. If you buy energy, open chests, or play a few battles yourself, the bot now notices within about half an hour and moves your next battle to match.

Fewer Archmage-vs-Archmage matches

When two accounts we play meet each other, one of them has to lose. Match start times across all our servers are now planned together, so accounts close in rating stay out of the queue at the same moment. In the first hours, Wild matches against another Archmage player fell from roughly a quarter to about one in six, with the same number of matches played.

Stronger teams at the top of the ladder

We measured our Champion battles against what our simulator predicted and fixed what we found. The team finder again weights the opposing teams it tests against by how often, how recently and at what rating they are really played. It now studies your opponent's last 100 battles instead of 20. Silver, Bronze and Novice accounts get teams from a new builder that tests its candidates in simulated battles first. And when Splinterlands' servers slow down around the daily rollover, a team that is ready can no longer miss its deadline.

The website

archmage.app has a rewritten FAQ grouped by topic, an updated whitepaper with a "What Archmage Does Today" section, and pages that explain themselves when you are logged out.
