One day a friend of mine was telling me about his grandfather. He told me that his grandfather was respected a lot in his town and that apart from being a good doctor he was also very well known for living a disciplined life.
Living a disciplined life sounds great but is rare. Being a man of principles and living a life based on a set of rules. Now the question that arises is that who makes the rules. No one else but we ourselves make the rules because we know ourselves better than anyone else. Let’s make some policies and principles we want our life to be based on and watch its effect. One feels lighter. One feels satisfied.
These principles can be anything like for a student they might be being attentive in class or for a retired man they can be doing physical exercise for 1 hr every morning. Decide that no matter what happens you will be back at home by 8:00 pm to give your family some time. Decide that from today you'll never take commission from a chemist. Something that makes you feel good. Something, that tells you that you are living a respectable life. Take a piece of paper jot down how you want your life to be and be very careful when deciding your principles because "Being a man of principles only helps when you practice the right principles".
