CNN writes this today:
"McCain felt until the end of his life that Trump represents a historical anomaly and a diversion from America's traditional leadership. He maintained that core American values would reassert themselves."
Let's hope not.
John McCain's "traditional leadership" over the past seventy years has led to two international catastrophes in Southeast Asia and the Middle East where millions of people have suffered or died. Over 75,000 Americans have been killed.
Core American values have certainly not in been display in my lifetime. The Founding Fathers were Christian men who believed that Americans should do unto others as we would have others do unto us. Non-stop war, exploitation of other peoples and waterboarding are certainly not the core values of our Founding Fathers.
To eulogize him at his wake, McCain told the President to stay away. In his stead he chose two war-mongering Presidents, George Bush and Barack Obama.
McCain's selection of the men to speak about him at his funeral and the lionization of John McCain by the mainstream media speaks volumes about McCain and the men and corporations who supported him.
