I get a lot of joy from capturing something unique in a photo, showing the viewer something they don't normally see. Water is an everyday part of our lives. But we don't normally take the time to observe the patterns formed by a drop in a bucket. With the help of a flash, it isn't that hard to freeze dripping, rippling water.
