I shot this photo in Meech Valley, near Chelsea, QC. It was a few hours after sunset at the end of a hot and humid day, and a layer of fog had blanketed the valley. From my position I was partly in the fog, but could see over the top. Far off, on the southern horizon was the light pollution from the city of Gatineau. It was a surreal scene. My immediate surroundings were calm and lonely, while the chaotic and ever-expanding city to the south loomed in the distance; out of sight, yet making its presence felt.
