Dear audience, welcome back to a new post! Yesterday, driven by that curiosity only we calisthenics athletes truly understand, I headed to the bars. I decided to step away from my usual structure for a bit and dive into a spontaneous statics routine. I really wanted to test my strength—to see where my progress with the planche and handstand actually stands after all this time. Honestly, the body has a very honest way of expressing itself when it comes to static holds.

I started off with handstand presses, focusing deeply on that connection starting from the fingertips to control the ascent. From there, I moved into the straddle handstand, searching for that clean line and the hip opening that grants you that perfect balance. To push my proprioception a little further, I tried a mixed-grip handstand (one hand prone, the other supine). It’s a real game of tension that forces you to be fully present in every single micro-adjustment of the shoulder.

When it was time for the planche, I focused on the supine grip. I kicked things off with a tuck planche to nail the protraction and finished with a solid hold in supine planche. It was a short session, almost like a personal "stress test." It helped me realize that while the technical memory is still there, my base strength needs to be rebuilt with patience. I did these exercises with a clear purpose: to get an exact "X-ray" of how much work lies ahead. It's time to get back to the basics and put in the hours to regain that power I know takes time to build.

That’s all for now, my people. I hope you enjoyed this update as much as I enjoyed the session. As always, a big shout-out to everyone in the #SWC and the #Hive community. See you next time!
