It's true, self-confidence and arrogance are two very different things, but the two sometimes look almost the same if we're not too careful in paying attention to our interlocutor. There are so many people that I have met in my life and they have various traits and different characters, including some who are confident and some who are arrogant.
In my experience when interacting with confident people they tend to be optimistic about themselves, they really put forward the positive ideas they have in mind when they want to do something.
But these confident people are not selfish and are more inclined to listen to the opinions of others who advise them if they have a slight flaw in their thinking patterns, confident people are wise in listening to the opinions of others so that what they do is always for the better.
In contrast to people who have arrogant traits, I really hate meeting people who have these characters and traits, when interacting with arrogant people it's as if they don't respect us by considering themselves better.
They will also continue to talk about the achievements they have achieved and look down on all the opinions we convey to them. Arrogant people also tend to be selfish and don't want to hear other people's opinions.
Arrogant people always show off everything they have with great confidence, usually people with this character will only be friends with other people if there is something they want. You could even say arrogant people don't have good morals when interacting with other people.
From the two types of people I found above, I can learn many things from them. From Confident People, I can learn that in life we must think creatively and be confident in ourselves, but we also have to listen to the opinions of others so that every decision we make taken to be wiser.
And from Arrogant People I can learn that what we have now is just a deposit and maybe one day we will lose everything, with arrogance people will not want to share new knowledge and insights with us because they will think that we are selfish and not competent to do anything.
Arrogant people will find it very difficult to develop because they do not have access to good information from other people for them to learn because they always consider themselves better than others.
The two traits above are choices, we can freely choose where we will bring our own traits and characteristics, hopefully we can be wiser in applying these traits and characters to each of us personally.
This is my post for the #weekend-engagement contest organized by @galenkp, see you in the next post.
