Sanctions won't harm Russia long term. They are well prepared for them. But the short term impact of crossing every red line (targeting a national leader, supplying lethal weapons to one side in warzone) may escalate the conflict.

You'd better hope I am right that sanctions will be ineffective.

Because if Russia thinks it is at risk of being destroyed it will wipe out the US and Europe in nuclear fire.

My nuclear shelter is ready and fully equipped (my kids already sleep in it) and I doubt Tel Aviv is on Russia's target list.

Israel is not part of NATO. It is not sanctioning Russia or supplying weapons to Ukraine. It has its own nukes and missile defence against incoming nukes (in small numbers).

Switzerland just gave up its historic neutrality and is now a Russian target.
