John Lennon was born born October 9th 1940 in Liverpool, England. He was born in an era of peace, love, smiley faces and flowers and lets not forget the peace signs. I caught the last 10 years of this era before it begun to fade away but always living in the hearts of those that got to be apart of it all. I believe he was tapped into this and was very discouraged to watch it slipping away. His songs touched not only the minds of people but their souls. His words still do that and I imagine will keep doing it for many more generations. I would like to hope so anyway.
He was shot and killed in the archway of his American Manhattan apartment building on December 8th 1980. The impact of losing him dying like that was shock and an overwhelming sadness. I am sure most everyone shed a tear of this loss and the way his life ended. I find it odd how people who spread the most important messages to masses of people end up getting killed or some other early death.
I was listening to his song ''Imagine'' and it inspired me to create this blog with some of his words, quotes and sayings.
My hope is he continues to inspire others even while he is no longer with us. Here's some of my Favourite writings by him.
