It has been over a week since I have started testing out a new Hive Blockchain Game called Cryptobrewmasters. In the game, you can perform tasks that will earn you ingredients, which you can then use to brew beer in game. However, there are tasks that cost CBM to perform. CBM is the in game token. So the post today is about whether it is worthwhile to perform the tasks that require CBM.

If you click on the Pub icon, and then click on Bulletin Board, you will see these daily quests.
They may vary on a daily basis, however what you will notice is that there are daily quests that provides you with 5 Neutral ingredients and 2 Good Ingredients. If you want to have a better understanding of the different grades, I touched on it on my previous Post:
In essence, there are currently 5 grades ingredients (ranking from most common to the least common):
Daily quests allows you to earn Neutral ingredients and Good ingredients.
You need the following items to perform daily quests
Daily quests for Neutral ingredients requires time and energy. However, Daily quests for Good Ingredients requires time, energy and CBM token. So lets take a look at whether it is worth it to perform those daily quests.

You can see that the time it take to perform these tasks are much quick than the daily quests for neutral ingredients, but the cost is CBM tokens.
To Brew Beer you need 5 ingredients:
So in total you are looking at around 45 CBM to gather the necessary Good ingredients to brew beer.
To put that into perspective:
When you brew a beer, you can expect to sell it for the current in game prices
Neutral Beer: 29.05 CBM
Good Beer: 31.96 CBM
As you can see, the cost of performing daily quests already exceeds the sell price of the Good and Neutral beer. Yes, the use of Good ingredients does give you a higher chance of getting higher grade beer:

You are most likely going to get a Good Grade beer, the chances for higher grade beers are smaller but not impossible. So it would probably make sense if you get higher grade beer (less likely) and the sell price is higher than 45 CBM.
Therefore, given that the cost of doing quests is higher than the expected sell price of the beer, it does not seem to be worth it to do the daily quests that cost CBM for now. You should probably just focus on the daily quests that uses time and energy.
