Yesterday I feel like I closed a chapter and opened a new one!
I discovered something I can't stop thinking about...
And, I know I said I wasn't going on any more long adventures until the Summer is over and it cools down, though... Things lined up in a good way and I hiked around 12 miles. I could have hiked more, but... Admittedly was feeling a little scared to be so far from civilization and headed back home with numerous hours of daylight still available.
Can't wait to share what I learned when the time is right, but for now I'll just mention a few things about the adventure.
One thing that happened that was really cool, was... I was pretty far from civilization in the mountains and showed up at a spot where two Javelina ran out of the bushes and then continued to as a pair together run up and run a circle around me.
Then they stopped for a moment out of sight in the bushes and then came out again and ran another circle around me before running off!
My whole life of living here I'd never seen anything like it... Javelina always just run away the quickest way they can get away.
Unless they have babies, then they might get defensive... But, I didn't see any babies and I've never seen behavior like that before.
The boar or pig is my Chinese zodiac spirit animal and Javelina are very similar looking animals, so to me it was kind of like my "spirit animal" coming out to say hi or maybe tell me something. :)
I don't totally know what the symbolism might mean, yet to me it felt very positive and like my spirit animal was there with me guiding me. <3
It was friggen beautiful.
Had a bunch of other animal encounters too with like hummingbirds and butterflies coming right up to me, and saw lizards and ants and a few large birds flying over, probably waiting for me to die so they could eat me, lol...
Unfortunately, even with my animal friends positive energy I still ended up somehow slipping with my drone in one hand and my remote controller in the other and I came down hard on my knee on a rock boulder and threw my back out of place a lil bit and realized I came really close to falling much worse in a way where I could have seriously injured myself and not been able to walk home.
I had a Walkie Talkie and my parents knew where I was, though they wouldn't be out looking for me until it got past dark a bit and if I had to lay there in the sun the rest of the day I might have died, especially cause I only had like a little more than half a bottle of water left.
I also could have landed in a way that was fatal as well... I was pretty frustrated with myself that I was so careless and my knee was throbbing pretty bad... I was able to walk, though had to kind of limp uphill and downhill or on anything uneven.
So... I know I could have done better, but I'm just glad I was able to get home safe and continue living my life.
What I learned is possibly one of the most fascinating I've learned, it was an amazingly awesome day!
I still don't know if I'm going to the Spanish blacksmith especially after landing on my knee so hard, but maybe if he's okay waiting a week or two I might be good enough by then... Anyways... Peace, much love and hope you're all doing as good as possible! 馃 馃獎 馃幎 馃寛 馃 馃 馃悙 馃 馃浉 馃懡 鉂わ笍
PS I jumped in the creek on the way back and it was heavenly. :)
