A good amount of the top accounts that convert HBD to Hive do business with the korean exchange Upbit. The playbook that they use is the following: HBD dumps on Upbit (but not on Bittrex). They buy HBD

There is no data to back up the asertion that BTC is the 6th largets currency. In fact it is ranked 27th according to

You should see part 2 (not that it will be more uplifting).

There is a concept in economics that describes what I think these guys are trying to convey...opportunity cost: Opportunity costs represent the potential benefits an individual, investor, or business misses

With a time window of exactly 0 seconds, you are wrong even in this. Often autovoters would vote my post first in the 1 second i needed to click the upvote button. I am only wrong if the author selfvotes

To be honest I am not opposed the change, my mind just automaically starts to look at ways that things can be broken and I try to see all the possible ramifications. I guess that comes from so many years

The fundamental change that this brings is that it removes the advantage of self voting not autovoting. As an author you can always front-run everybody since leo doesn't have a voting window like hive

One of the effects of this change will be that random voting will have the same apr as manual curation. Which could be a good thing or not (depending on what lense you are using to view it). On the one

Masks work because they reduce the viral load that is floating around in the air. Alot of people don't talk about that. To get sick you need to pass a critical mass of viruses that you are exposed to..

The chain is going to probably fork in a few days. Some chinese holders are not happy with the latest updated and will try to roll back the changes. The most likely scenario is a fork. I was trying to

Actually there are only 144 million liquid hive, there are 228 million that are not staked but about 83 of those are locked up in the DAO so they are not available for trading.

Well Hive is ranked at #98 on Coingecko right now, so I think we should think about that. But to be honest only BTC and ETH matter to the market atm (and they both don't have any real traction in the grand

Actually Taleb doesn't consider COVID-19 to be a Black Swan Event, we have known for quite a while that a pandemic was overdue (especially one from a coronavirus) so it doesn't fit the definition. It's

A lot of people don't realize that the monetary policy of any given economic system benefit some groups and it may have a negative effect on others. Ceteris paribus inflation benefits those on debt with

You can still broadcast a transaction with a different node or maintain your own..easier said than done.

The front ends could probably do a better job at giving visibility to content based on different metrics. For the time being the current reward pool model is "good enough" as a coin distribution

The EIP was never about "fixing" the trending page. It was about changing the game theory mechanics of the reward pool distribution to counter: Low value spam posts. Self-vote "abuse"

I agree, it's still possible if the top 20 agree on doing it. It then would be up to stakeholders to remove them from consensus. It's more likely to happen on steem though. I am wondering how long would
