RC have an internal market that dinamically updates the "price" of each transaction type based on three metrics: Transaction size. State Replay time Attacking the network with custom json operations

An interesting fact about HTLCs is that bitcoin lightning devs are already looking to replace them with something known as Point Time Lock Contracts (PTLCs), basically rebuilding the whole network from

Don't confuse economists with policy apologists. On the other hand cryptocurrencies (in the grand scheme of things) are just a side note on the real economy (where the actual goods and services are produced)

Ocam's razor, even though the HF was planned in "secret" it was leaked before it was made public = inside job (someone with knowledge made sure that it was no longer a secret). Probaby the same

Upbit opened trading for Hive and HBD, so my guess is that some korean users orquestraded a pump and dump for HBD. Get ready for more market manipulation (the last time that the current witnesses on steem

The last time that steem pumped it coincided with Hive dumping after Upbit enabled withdrawals and the freezing of several accounts. This time Upbit opens trading for HBD & Hive and HF23 on steem is

Since neither steem nor hive had an ICO I don't believe the ruling from the SEC applies.

No need to apologize man, I enjoy reading your stuff 👍. One of the ideas that has been floating in my head is to create a smart contract sidechain for hive to takle several use cases (one of them is having

Market dinamics a very complex, both supply and demand are sensible to a host of factors which are difficult to account for in the short and mediam term. Especially since we cannot apply the same models

I think it's pretty obvious (as stated in OP) that if USD experiences inflation then Hive gains in market cap. I don't see that the USD inflation and the HIVE marketcap are directly correlated. For this

If you convert HBD right now you would receive around 73 cents worth of HIVE. The market "knows" that hence the current price. The blockchain rules will only backup the value of HBD up to a certain

The market valuation of HBD is usually very close to the conversion rate to HIVE. One of three things need to happen for it to be priced at 1 USD again: The price for Hive goes above 0.16 USD. 1.7 million

When trying to access the site using keychain the page tries to use the steem version instead of the one for hive. I had to login using the posting key directly (which is not my preferred way of doing
