This is my application for the contest Phone Photography Contest - #136 [New avatar of your favorite photography contest] by 
Arkhangelsk region. This region is often referred to as the Russian North.
My son lives there and I visit him 2 times a year. This usually happens at the beginning and end of summer. At the end of May, I pick up my granddaughter and take her home, and at the end of August, I take my granddaughter back.
This year, at the end of May, we went with him to the White Sea along the Onega River. From his place of residence it is about 250 km due North. During the trip we crossed several rivers. My son offered to visit them in September.but our plans were not destined to come true.
But my son visited these rivers with his colleague.
By the way, did I mention that my son enjoys fishing and hunting? Since I was a kid, I always took him to the river and into the woods.
The Verhnyaya Telza River. This river immediately attracted our attention. My son and I decided that grayling should live here. There are no such fish in the rivers in my area, because grayling likes clean, stony, cold rivers. That's why I like to visit my son to go fishing on such rivers.
By the way, my son's wife also likes to go fishing with him. But this time, her son did not take her with him. The fact is that there are a lot of stories about bear activity this year. He took her with him in the summer when it was warm, but now it's already cool.
Yesterday I also showed my son photos of my walk. I have snow on the ground, and my son had snow 2 weeks ago, but not yet.
This time, for safety reasons, the son also took a rifle with him on a fishing trip. I convinced him to do so, and my son agreed with me.
Yes, it doesn't look very fancy. Or maybe someone didn't understand what it was? This is bear feces. Bears eat a lot of berries in the fall, but they still need protein, so they become particularly dangerous predators and it is better to stay away from them at such a time.
It was the beavers who did it. The son said that he had met a whole settlement of beavers, many of their houses.
This is the road that the beavers made. Yes, they always follow specific permanent paths. Beavers have a tail like a shovel, which makes such a road.
That's the catch. Of course, the size of the fish wants to be better, and I told my son that. The trouble is that there is no point in releasing the fish back into the river, the grayling will die. It is a very delicate fish. Representatives of the northern peoples eat this fish raw, it has tender meat with cucumber flavor.
