Hello, friends.

I realized today that I haven't written anything about our feathered friends for a long time. That's how time flies.
I love the company of Feathered Friends.
There are a lot of interesting people in this community and a lot of interesting photos of our winged feathered friends - birds.
So I decided to write about the sparrow bird again today.
I wrote 2 days ago that I recently mowed the grass on the lawn behind the house. After that, I took a camera and went to do a photo shoot for vegetables that grow in the garden.
But suddenly a sparrow landed almost at my feet and began to actively jump in one place. It was very funny.

It turns out that he was catching some bugs on this mown grass.
I have noticed for a long time that birds often come to the mown grass. They are looking for bugs and worms that become defenseless in the open.

And among the greenery, the sparrow is well camouflaged. Even though he himself is not green. It becomes in the form of a piece of soil.

This sparrow stretched out ridiculously to see the bugs on the ground from a height. He turned his head, and also tilted it very funny.
For better stability, he spread his paws wide apart. He looked like a parrot Kesha from a Soviet cartoon.
Oh yeah. A sparrow holds a bug in its beak.

I was surprised by the fact that this sparrow was here. I suspect that this is the same lonely sparrow that has already flown to me recently and was looking for food next to the dog. Maybe he was kicked out of the pack?

In summer, a lonely little bird can always find food for itself. But it will be very difficult for him in the winter. Sparrows live in a flock. They sleep tightly pressed against each other so that the heat does not leave their bodies.

20210704_11.jpg
Why didn't the sparrow eat the bug right away? Why did he keep holding it in his beak and jumping briskly on the grass? A lot of questions. Or maybe it's a mother bird and is looking for food for her chicks? But the chicks already have to get food for themselves.

Nevertheless, the bird decided to continue its jumps. The sparrow began to move away from me towards the trees.
And do you know why sparrows jump, and not walk? I heard a fairy tale that God punished him so for his arrogance.

It's not just that they call these birds with words like "robber", "bully", "little thief".
I am grateful to this sparrow for the fact that he posed so beautifully in front of the camera, and did not immediately fly away from me. If only he had brought his friends with him.

I decided to make God laugh and tell him about my plans. I want to buy a 400mm lens. But something went wrong. I don't have the funds for this right now. The money was spent on supplying natural gas to the house. And I will need to invest more money in this.
