Hairy caterpillars are deadly, bites or direct contact with caterpillars can cause itching and can even cause death in some time. Living things have strategies to defend themselves from predators.

some types of caterpillars cannot move quickly and do not have the instinct to take refuge. One of them is the defense of caterpillars on their bodies. Toxic caterpillars are caterpillars that have at least one or more poison glands and mechanisms and tools to inject poison. Broadly speaking, poisonous caterpillars are divided into two groups, namely passive active and toxic active.

Toxins in caterpillars, only cause irritation to the skin. Toxic caterpillars do not cause death in humans under normal conditions.
