Hello HIVE friends, wherever you are, as always, I hope you are all healthy and happy so you can go about your daily activities as usual. I hope you all have a wonderful day.
In this blog, I want to share some images of the Ibouh tourist village destination, which I briefly shared in my previous blog.
However, in this blog, we will focus on the protected forest area within the village. I also passed through this forest area while traveling to visit several tourist destinations located within the Ibouh countryside.
So, please continue to follow my simple blog to see some images and short articles about the protected forest areas I encountered during my vacation in the Ibouh tourist village.
This is still related to my previous blog, where I shared my experience vacationing in the Ibouh tourist village. If you follow my previous blog, I also shared some images of the village. Upon entering the village, the first thing I encountered, besides the welcoming gate, was the Meunasah.
Meunasah is an Acehnese word that usually refers to a building used by the local community for community meetings, as well as for religious purposes. Furthermore, this Meunasah is also accessible to visitors who are vacationing in this village and serves as the main gathering point for those taking a vacation trip to the Ibouh tourist village.
This village offers several stunning tourist destinations, from beaches renowned for their beauty to world-renowned snorkeling. But before we can visit these destinations, we must first explore the protected forest area of Pulau Weh, which is also located within the village area.
However, believe me, this trip was the most memorable part of my vacation to Pulau Weh because I was able to enjoy the serene atmosphere with the unique coolness of the pristine forest. The hills here have become a natural fortress that is pleasing to the eye when visiting the Ibouh tourist village area.
I'd only been exploring this tourist village for about five minutes on my motorcycle when I came across a bend with a yellow fence, indicating I was entering a dangerous area with a sharp bend. The fence also indicated that this area was part of the protected forest of Pulau Weh.
My friend...
It felt like time had changed. When I first entered the tourist village, the atmosphere was a little more crowded than usual.
But now it felt quiet, cool, with the occasional sound of the wind accompanying me. It felt like I'd entered another world filled with the beauty of the forest. It was as if time was passing so slowly, and the fence acted as a barrier. Behind this fence was a hill that I could see from a distance. It's from here that we're reminded, slowly, that nature is a beautiful place with its captivating charm, but we must be aware of it because we are guests in this area.
Then after passing the bend, the road began to climb and the bends began to be passed frequently, on the left and right sides there were small ravines and cliffs, I also saw increasingly dense trees, here The atmosphere was very quiet that I even found only a few drivers passing on the route, but it felt very free for me personally, because I did not find horns, there was no such thing as traffic jams, only what I saw was the tranquility that existed in this area flanked by forests on the right and left sides of the road, and I think this route is very special, from the hustle and bustle of the city of Sabang directly embraced by the forest and this automatically makes our brains follow the slow that brings calm, so it is not an exaggeration if I say here is the cleanest air compared to several other cities in Aceh, therefore I can say at a glance that Pulau Weh is the lungs of Aceh and this forest is its heart.
The most amazing thing is, to be able to enjoy this view, we do not need to buy a ticket which is free of charge and we can already see nature that gives one of the best views on Pulau Weh
Within this protected forest area, we will encounter a variety of flora and fauna.
My friends...
Like most tropical forests, with their fresh air and soothing sounds of nature, are also adorned and inhabited by a variety of flora and fauna. The protected forest area of Pulau Weh is no exception. Here, I encountered long-tailed macaques along the way within the Ibouh village tourist area. If we're lucky, we might even encounter deer passing through the area. We can even spot wild boar at certain times, usually in the morning, as one of our guides said.
I spotted one of these animals, a long-tailed macaque sitting on the roadside with about five or six of them. Our guide explained that we could only observe them from a distance without disturbing them, and that we were not to feed them, as this was to prevent the animals from losing their natural habitat.
And this is also a reminder that all of us who are in this area are guests in this area, where they have houses first in the protected forest area which is currently being managed by the Ibouh Tourism Village.
We stopped occasionally, and this time we stopped at a point where a tall tree towered with a straight trunk like a pole. What amazed me was that there wasn't just one tree, but many towering along the side of the road.
My friend.....
The air here was different. I could feel the coolness, humidity, and the scent of wet earth. It had just rained. Honestly, this was a bit of a surprise, as the weather on Weh Island is unpredictable. The beginning of the trip was pleasant and sunny, but then a sudden downpour of rain came. Although not too heavy, it drenched us. We decided to rest at one point to change our clothes. This time, the area I've shared some pictures of above was the area.
These are some of the images I've shared on this blog about the protected forest area on Weh Island, located within the Ibouh Tourism Village. From this simple blog, you can draw several conclusions. One of them is that if you ever want to enjoy this protected forest, bring complete equipment, including a raincoat. The weather in the forest is easily changeable. I personally found that from the start of the trip, the weather was sunny, then suddenly clouds came in and drizzle began to wet the area.
I believe the journey is part of the destination, which is why many people who vacation in this Tourism Village rush to reach several popular tourist destinations within the area. However, along the way, we are also treated to views of the protected forest, which is also a tourist destination within the Ibouh Tourism Village area. So, I reiterate that if you ever vacation here, slow down your journey and enjoy the protected forest, which provides a serene and invaluable experience.
Alright, my friends, those are some pictures and a short post from me on this blog.
